Fall – Winter 2016-17 Exhibition
A score of experts in copy-paste bring us closer to the most trend-setting art belonging to collage field, a technique which has revived strongly in the past years. It is demanded by the most important art museums of the world, but also featured on the latest luxury brand campaigns. The showcase is an overview through the spanish collage where many different artists from diverse subject areas such as art, illustration, or design reflects the hyper-informed world where we currently all live equipped with scissors, glue, or Photoshop. Ranging from renowned designers or illustrators such as: Emilio Gil, Pep Carrió, Sean Mackaoui or Isidro Ferrer to a group of a new generation of artists that have found in the collage technique a way to express themselves: Clara Mata, Cless, Dani Sanchis, Max-o-Matic, MiraRuido, Patricia Bolinches, Rafafans, Raúl Lázaro, Rubén B and Sr. García. Plus, multidisciplinary creators as: Sara Huete, Dis Berlín, Manuel Antonio Domínguez, Ernesto Artillo, and Artefacto.
Una veintena de maestros del corta y pega es una exposición que nos acerca al arte más actual de una disciplina – el collage- que ha vuelto a resurgir con mucha fuerza en los últimos años. La reclaman importantes centros artísticos, pero también es protagonista de las últimas campañas de publicidad de las grandes marcas de lujo. La muestra es un recorrido por el collage español en la que participan creadores de diferentes ámbitos como el arte, la ilustración o el diseño y que armados de tijeras y pegamento -o photoshop- reflejan el mundo hiperinformado en el que vivimos. Encontramos desde artistas consagrados del diseño y la ilustración como Emilio Gil, Pep Carrió, Sean Mackaoui e Isidro Ferrer hasta artistas de una nueva generación de creadores que han encontrado en el collage su modo de expresión: Clara Mata, Cless, Dani Sanchis, Max-o-Matic, MiraRuido, Patricia Bolinches, Rafafans, Raúl Lázaro, Rubén B y Sr. García pasando por artistas multidisciplinares como Sara Huete, Dis Berlín, Manuel Antonio Domínguez, Ernesto Artillo y Artefacto.
